Yellowfern

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big caudiciform grows up to 98 feet (29.9 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is yellow-green, and is covered in many flexible intense yellow spines. The stocky, cream trunk can grow to as much as 98 feet (29.9 meters) in diameter. Its pink-red branches are long, thin and wispy.

The tattered-edged, broad, flat leaves are emerald with dark grey tips. They are flexible, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 18 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of florescent green grows at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 30 petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like perfume.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the gentle blue flesh is slimy, and the crimson sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
