Ashy Blue Moss

This cream or ashy blue moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly robust; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
