Brown Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In heathlands.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It can survive a very long time without water.
