Ambergrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in thick clumps that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, amber tuft.

During the mid-autumn, it produces an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
