Indigo Tree

This enormous tree grows up to 132 meters (433.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 652 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, twisting trunk covered in very thick, cracked, brown-green bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.

The small handful of branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with copious amounts of sticky, huge, cylindrical leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either indigo, or red with cyan splotches.

In late summer it forms small, pastel yellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
