Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is thick, and the tiny, gray-green leaves are very thin with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.
4 to 6 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are magenta in the center, sky blue in the middle and washed-out blue at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 39 raised, narrow petals. They are sturdy.
It has a weak scent that smells like fresh linen, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
