Bronzeberry

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 28 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in fine, waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy-brown.

The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of miniature, needle-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in bronze, cyan and bronze varieties.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, cream blossoms with spear shaped petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like bleach.

In early winter it produces large, 9 pointed fruit. The soft amber skin is tough and sweet, and the slightly crunchy brown flesh is salty and sour and very dry. The grey seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
