Purple Bindweed

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 40 feet (12.2 meters) and growing as high as 30 feet (9.1 meters).

It takes 18 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The cylindrical, rough leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are either purple or light grey, with azure edges, and have smooth edges.
