Burgundy Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 needle-like stems. Each stem is burgundy, and is dotted with small light grey spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 18 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with violet petals that gradient shift to blue on the outer edge. The central disk is yellow, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 39 petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like rich perfume.

The cactus's skin is thick, the caramel flesh is waxy, and the blue sap is thin.
