Violet

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 17 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in thick, waxy, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are short and slender and are covered with large amounts of miniature, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid violet or silver, with orange dots.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, azure blossoms with 5 oval-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like coffee.

In early summer it produces , long, tapering fruit. The hairy gold skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy peach flesh is bitter and spicy and powdery. The beige seeds are small and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
