Bluebell Vine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 25 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many slender, straight stems covered in delicate, cracked, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are long and thick that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of sky blue that gradient shifts to peach at the top, strong and fuzzy.

In late spring it produces thousands of medium-sized, black flowers with fan-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like a damp log.
