Azure Moss

This slate or azure moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
