This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees, and In bogs.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely resistant.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores.

It comes in 47 varieties.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
