Moss Green Daisy

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its pink-red stem is thick and splits into dozens of branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, moss green leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Around 80 giant flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are generally bright green; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of 4 petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a strong scent that smells like rainy days, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.
