Caramel

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several very thick, straight stems covered in hard, ridged, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of large, wide, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are indigo and caramel, flimsy and smooth.

It produces hundreds of small, yellow flowers with shield-shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like paint. In midwinter it forms medium-sizedslate aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
