Emerald

Moss type: Moss

This slate moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, In rainforests, and On rotten logs.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It comes in 13 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
