Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This colossal vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 675 feet (205.7 meters) and growing as high as 438 feet (133.5 meters).
It takes 10 years for the lime or pink stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4.9 feet (1.5 meters) and are smooth and waxy.
The pleated, sticky leaves reach up to 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) in length. They are found in washed-out yellow and light green varieties, and have jagged edges.
During late spring, the vine produces lots of average magenta flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny fruits.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
