Azurebell

This big tree grows up to 87 meters (285.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 357 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, ridged, black bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is white with black speckles.

The thin clumps of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of smooth, giant, very thick leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are azure and amber.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, slate blossoms with long, narrow petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like lemon.

In late summer it forms small, caramel, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
