Blueleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 175 feet (53.3 meters) tall. The very thick stem is light grey, and is covered in sharp spines. The smooth-edged, asymmetrical leaves are either blue, or aquamarine with magenta lines. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are pliable, but detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 30 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either crimson or cyan, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like sweat.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the beige flesh is rough, and the light red sap is thin.

Several parts of the flower have medicinal properties.
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
