Copper

This huge caudiciform grows up to 114 feet (34.7 meters) tall. The narrow stem is copper, and is covered in brittle caramel spines. It has a straight, slender, subtle orange trunk atop a thick ball of wrinkled, exposed roots. The branches are narrow and emerald and are long and thin.

The tattered-edged, pleated leaves are lime and pastel green. They are durable, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 31 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are blood red on the edges and amber at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is shaped like a tube with 50 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like rotten meat.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the slate flesh is soft, and the faded blue sap is thin.
