Golden Spikefern

This big caudiciform grows up to 95 feet (29.0 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is yellow, and is dotted with small cream spines. The wide, gold trunk can grow to as much as 95 feet (29.0 meters) in diameter. Its emerald branches trail down to the ground.

The jagged-edged, thick leaves are lime and pastel green. They are frail, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is quick growing, taking 7 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either crimson or cyan, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. It has an overpowering scent that smells like coconut.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the caramel flesh is waxy, and the red sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.
