Aquamarine Fruit Tree

This enormous fruit tree grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 52 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, angular trunk covered in thin, knobbly, black bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pine-coloured.

The small handful of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are lime and pastel green.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of tiny, lilac blossoms with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like candle wax.

In late autumn it produces small, needle-like fruit. The fuzzy light red skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy aquamarine flesh is sweet and juicy. The crimson seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
