Crimsonvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, wavy stems covered in hard, cracked, gray bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are short and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, long, narrow, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either drab red or black, with olive edges, delicate and crispy.

In early summer it produces a handful of small, violet flowers with 4 oval-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like coffee.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The sap is edible and slightly bitter.
The sap is light brown.
