Caramel Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The pleated stem is yellow-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The toothed-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are found in blood red, indigo and caramel varieties. Thick bunches of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are resilient, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with subtle green petals and a sky blue central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a faint scent that smells like grass cuttings.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the light brown flesh is smooth, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
