Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 34 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in fine, smooth, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of miniature, 4 pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are vibrant purple and vivid orange.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of tiny, blood red blossoms with stiff, pointed petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like musk.

In mid-summer it produces tiny, broad, flat fruit. The smooth violet skin is delicate and sweet and sour, and the very soft cream flesh is sweet and syrupy. The bronze seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
