Knobbly Mahogany Bush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 69 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has many thick, angular stems covered in knobbly, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally light yellow, sturdy and fuzzy.

In late spring it produces many medium-sized, florescent blue flowers with slender, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like glue.
