Bluebell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 125 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has many thick, twisting stems covered in ridged, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, slender, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are blue and magenta, resilient and clammy.

It produces a handful of medium-sized, amber flowers with slender, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like leather. In late autumn it forms largebrown, tough-shelled seeds.


It is very delicate and is easy to kill.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
