Coppergrass

This small, dark grey or pink grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, copper tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few giant grains.
