Cyanflare

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The thin stem is gray, and is covered in many fine, vivid red, hair-like spines. The thick leaves are cyan on the sides and florescent orange at the center. Copious amounts of them grow on wide, blue branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are light, and take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are generally cyan; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 58 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the deep yellow flesh is rubbery, and the hazel sap is thin.

The sap is edible and overwhelmingly sweet.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
