Yellowvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 18 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of sturdy, twisting stems covered in fine, wrinkled, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are long and slender with thousands of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are yellow-green with blue tips, resilient and crispy.

In mid-summer it produces many balls of small, olive blossoms with fan-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like citrus.

In early winter tiny circular fruits ripen. The leathery hazel skin is peel-able and sweet, and the soft light brown flesh is sweet and sour and syrupy. The brown seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
