Copper

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible washed-out red spines.

It is slow growing, taking 27 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with slate petals on the lower layer and turquoise petals decorated with caramel dots on the inner layer. The central disk is silver grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like new books.

The cactus's skin is thin, the pink flesh is smooth, and the copper sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
