Silvervine

This large shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 34 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, straight stems covered in paper-thin, knobbly, silver bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are short and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of large, circular, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are green and violet, durable and covered in fine hairs.

It produces large amounts of tiny, hazel flowers with 7 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like cherry. In late summer it forms medium-sizedgrey seed pods.
