Burgundy Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 8 feet (2.4 meters) and growing as high as 10 feet (3.0 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 10 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The very thick, waxy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are grey and cyan, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many large lilac flowers.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It can survive a long time without water.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
