Emerald Tear Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands, In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
