Moorland Emerald Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very delicate; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
