Burgundy Needlegrass

This short, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in sparse patches that are sturdy and flexible and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, cream flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
