Blueleaf Thornberry

This big shrub grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for around 93 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many thick, straight stems covered in cracked, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, very thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue and lime, strong and crispy.

In mid-summer it produces several giant, magenta blossoms with perforated petals. They are hardy and have no scent.

In late winter small needle-like fruits ripen. The soft slate skin is thin and inedible, and the soft aquamarine flesh is sour and sticky. The white seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
