Violet Tuff Grass

This short, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in large clumps that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, violet tuft.

During the late summer, it produces excessive amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few medium-sized grains.
