Clinging Lavender Bush

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 171 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, angular stems covered in thin, silky, gray bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of huge, thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in grey and silver varieties, flexible and smooth.

It produces hundreds of tiny, crimson flowers with broad, flat petals. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like lavender. In late spring it forms tinyslate seed pods.
