Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 167 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous branched, wonky stems covered in hard, silky, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.
The branches are very long and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of large, teardrop-shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid yellow or white, with vibrant blue splotches, sturdy and smooth.
It produces many giant, silver flowers with sickle shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like rainy days. In midwinter it forms medium-sizedgold, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
