Clinging Peachfern

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 144 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, straight stems covered in cracked, black bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of small, very thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in magenta, peach and bronze varieties, delicate and crispy.

In mid-summer it produces clusters of small, peach flowers with kidney-shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like misty mornings.
