Emerald Spiral Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores.
