Crimson Bog Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, In damp forests, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and can overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
