Clinging Pine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This average-sized tree grows up to 53 meters (173.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 578 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in thick, ridged, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pale yellow.
The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small amounts of fuzzy, huge, slender, pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are white and florescent yellow.
In early spring, it produces copious amounts of small, beige blossoms with 7 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have an intense scent that smells like warm cookies.
In late summer it forms large, dark brown, shelled seeds.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for making paper
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
