Sickle Spine Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 sickle shaped stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in many rigid green spines. The spherical body is gray, and is dotted with small slate spines.

It is slow growing, taking 39 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with sky blue petals and a brown central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 54 petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the pink flesh is soft, and the pink sap is thin.
