Vinebark Willow

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 26 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous flexible, straight stems covered in thin, silky, black bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches are very short and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, oval-shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blue and white, resilient and covered in fine hairs.

In early spring it produces a handful of large, light grey flowers with perforated petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like faeces.
