Clinging Willow

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 475 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a stocky, wonky trunk covered in wrinkled, brown and grey bark, and inside, the light wood is brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small amounts of leathery, huge, long, tapering leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in copper and pink varieties.

In late summer it forms large, olive, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
