Slate Moss

This slate and orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainforests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is extremely hardy.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
