Silvershade

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows the first year, flowers the second year, then dies)

This average-sized tree grows up to 14 meters (45.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 179 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in thin, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is dark brown.

The small bunches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with copious amounts of waxy, large, stiff, pointed leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either slate or yellow, with dark grey patches.

In late summer it forms large, vibrant orange, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for making strong rope
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
