Emerald Clump Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
